Jason (1): Lost a Shoe

Jason was an ancient Greek mythological hero and leader of the Argonauts, whose quest for the Golden Fleece featured in Greek literature. While traveling Jason lost his sandal crossing the muddy Anavros river while helping an old woman (Hera in disguise).

The photomicrograph was taken using a transmitted light microscopy (4X objective Lens) and digital camera. The subject formed by micro crystal naturally on the microscope glass slide.
